The people have spoken! Danny Boyle’s opus Slumdog Millionaire was named the People’s Choice, earning it the highly coveted award after the The 33rd annual Toronto Film Festival’s curtains went down for the final time. The audience favourite focuses on how an impoverished Indian teen Jamal Malik became a contestant on the Hindi version of “Who Wants to be A Millionaire?” — an endeavor made without prize money in mind, rather, an effort to prove his love for his friend Latika, who is an ardent fan of the show. No plans tonight? Open to the public and free, the first Toronto International Film Festival Wrap Party kicks off at 8pm at Yonge Dundas Square in the heart of downtown Toronto. RACHEL MCADAMS GOSLING?

The big talk of the festival? Would Rachel McAdams bring Ryan Gosling to her premiere, The Lucky Ones? No such luck for us gossip queens, but McAdams was in high spirits — suggesting love had reared is beautiful head again in her life. Sources close to the star tell The Cadillac Insider McAdams, who has an impressive fight scene in her new war-themed film, and her Notebook co-star are indeed back together, “and they’re happier than ever. IN STYLE & OUT OF THIS WORLD STAR SIGHTINGS

Held each year at The Windsor Arms, The In Style party attracted the collective bright star power of Mark Ruffalo, Ethan Hawke, Tim Robbins, Paris Hilton, Rachel Weisz, Adrien Brody, Sir Ben Kingsley, Kevin Zegers, and Jim Sturgess. When The Cadillac Insider asked Sir Kingsley how much sleep the Oscar winner was getting each night, he laughed, “Who needs sleep! I can sleep when I’m dead!” In good spirits, Hawke didn’t seem upset over the day’s hottest rumour made the rounds suggesting his ex-wife, Uma Thurman was pregnant. The next day Thurman’s rep denied the film goddess was preggers. Whew — I dodged a bullet there, peeps!

The usually diplomatic Matt Damon, in town recently for the ONEXONE fundraiser, told Entertainment Tonight Canada it’s ridiculous to nominate Vice-President Republican hopeful Sarah Palin “because of her plumbing. Everyone’s favourite party girl, Paris Hilton attended the premiere of her documentary last night, Paris, Not France in great spirits. Forget splitting the atom, the big question last night was: How does this girl party all night and not look hung over. The reality-TV star tells The Cadillac Insider, “I don’t drink a lot. Seriously, The Brothers Bloom stars Mark Ruffalo and Adrien Brody need to get a room. At the press junket for the film yesterday, the very affectionate duo couldn’t keep their hands off each other — there was nothing gloomy about this duo. While Management star Jennifer Aniston failed in an attempted reunion with ex-spouse Brad Pitt, many in the gossip circles assumed she’d stop by her ex-hubby’s pal Matt Damon’s One X One gala last night. No such luck. After all, last week, someone near the Pitt camp suggest Brad may stick around to attend OneXOne and support Damon. But that was wishful thinking. While the new Mother Theresa, Angelina Jolie was nursing her newborn twins, Mr. Pitt snuck out of town Saturday night —before dining at Sotto Sotto and indulging in a night cap at Lobby — just as his ex arrived in the T-dot.
